Bought these nike free 3.0 running shoes right after they came out because I had heard such great things about the Nike Free Run 2. The new third generation is definitely a little more shoe like. It has an actual tongue instead of a collar and the midsole is a little beefier for a more cushioned ride but I prefer these over a more minimalist shoe since I'm a big guy who needs a little support but still wanted that barefoot feel. These definitely feel like no other. Super comfy straight out of the box, like all good shoes should. Feels like a cushioned sock. I have wide feet that never felt quite right in New Balance Minimus, Vibram Five Fingers, or Merrell Trail Glove but the Nike Free 3 hit my sweet spot. I wear a 12 in most shoes but these fit me perfect in a 13, plenty of room in the toe box for your feet to flex. Isn't that the point? If you're looking for a comfy, stylish, high performance shoe that will train your feet to be stronger and still be thirsty for more after all day on your feet on hard surfaces, these are your answer. I love them.

Just finished my first run with these. I cannot express how great they are! I have a 2 year old pair of the 1st gen that I thought was the most comfortable shoe yet, and this one with its dynamic fit feels as if they were molded for your feet. Get em. Just do it.

Love the Nike Free 3.0 V3 shoes...was worried about the lack of cushioning in the heel area but I now believe that I have been brainwashed (like the rest of the runners in the world) that cushioning is everything. My shin splints and knee pain have disappeared within two weeks of running in these shoes and the flex and feel of the shoes is great.

I had the first gen Free Run+ for over a year and they have been great! Never really used them for running, just mainly for work. Loved the first gen I had and also love these. Very light and flexible, and extremely easy to slip on and off, yet it fits very secure. I just tie a hard double not and never touch the laces again. My feet are somewhat wide, and the mix portion fits kind of tight, but I'm sure like the first Free Runs I had, it will loosen up after some wear.

First of all, this is only the second real pair of running shoes that I have ever bought so I don't have extensive experience in this department, but I must say that this shoe is awesome. This is my first "minimalist" style shoe and it really feels like I have nothing on my feet when running. There is enough support that you can tell there is a shoe, but it really is a unique feeling (first couple of runs really works the muscles in your legs). The only downside, for me, is that the shoe is tight around the mid-foot area. I have very high arches though, so it is a common problem for me. I would give this shoe an 8/10. A definite buy if you are in the market for a new running shoe.
